Roxio came to us to design the user interface for their audio mixing and burning software, Jam. The client wanted the overall feel of the UI to be fun, yet feel powerful and still blend with the other applications in their product line-up. A purple or “grape” color was chosen as the main visual element to the user interface. Mac OS X visual guidelines dictated the placement of lighting on the interface as well as the look and feel of the “Jam Wave” itself.
