Flare 1.3 is now available and features many great improvements, including the new Shuffle feature. Shuffle is an easy way to add more variety to your digital photos with just a single click.
Just choose one of Flare’s many presets and press the Shuffle button. Flare will tweak a few of the effects used in that preset to give your photo a slightly different look than the default preset settings. This is a great way to bring a little natural serendipity to your photos, or to give multiple images in a series a slightly different look based around a single preset. Press the Shuffle button again for a different variation, or you can easily revery to the preset’s default settings with a single click.
Check out all the changes in version 1.3 on Flare’s version history page, or head on over to the Mac App Store to purchase Flare at the discounted price of just $9.99. You can also try it for free from FlareApp.com. If you love to tinker with Flare, don’t forget to post your creations to the ‘Made with Flare’ Flickr pool when you’re done. It’s your chance to show the world your images are only the beginning.

When we partnered with the DS team way back in 2008 we had no idea how much work was ahead of us. This was technically the first game we designed from scratch so it was unlike anything we had ever undertaken. Gallons of blood, sweat and tears later we had produced a playable work of art that we are still extremely proud of. We look forward to seeing where DS MediaLabs takes Ramp Champ in the future.
