(19.May.08) WWDC Is the Place You Ought to Be!
California here we come! It’s time once again for swimming pools and movie stars, or so we’d like to think. In reality its the annual pilgrimage to San Francisco’s Moscone Center for the gathering of geeks, coders and Mac faithful that is WWDC. Thanks to the massive success of Apple’s iPhone and the related SDK program, the computer maker is reporting that for the first time in the event’s history, WWDC is sold out. Which means the lines that our own Craig Hockenberry and Corey Marion will be waiting in in the wee hours of the morning, will be even longer than usual.
WWDC should prove extremely valuable for developers looking to craft their first iPhone and iPod Touch applications. Like the rest of the Macintosh developer community, we’re anxious to hear more about Apple’s App Store and what the future may bring. In the meantime, we’ve been working diligently to bring two of our applications to Apple’s mobile platform – Twitterrific and Frenzic. Both apps have made huge strides toward running natively on these devices and if you bump into Craig or Corey at WWDC, they just might show them to you. If you’ll be attending WWDC, be sure to follow Craig and Corey’s Twitter stream to find out where they’ll be and what’s going on. Now if you’ll excuse us, the fellas are packin’ up the truck and moving to Mos-con-e!
