If you are distributing icons via a website, you may sometimes get Windows users who complain about your ZIP archives containing generic icons.
Usually, the problem is not with your icon archive, but rather how the user is trying to use it. If the person double-clicks on the ZIP archive, it will show generic icons.
Instead, they need to find the file on their desktop (for example “coolicons.zip”) and right click with the mouse. In the context menu, they should select “Extract All…” and it will create a folder named “coolicons”. Inside this folder, they’ll find icons that look right.
