Why does my search not return many results?

When you perform a search in Pixadex, it searches against whatever you have currently selected. If you are not getting the results you think you should be getting, make sure you have “My Icons” selected in the list for the widest possible results.

Pixadex’s search feature makes use of Spotlight, so it’s also possible that your icons haven’t been indexed properly by the system. There are two possible ways to try to fix this:

  1. Re-index your entire icon library by simply holding down the “Shift” key while launching Pixadex.
  2. If that doesn’t work, select your main “My Icons” library, and wait until all your icons have loaded into the window (scroll down to make sure they’re all showing up). After they are all loaded in try your search again.
